Bio
Michael Konkin has been an instructor at Selkirk College since 2004 teaching such courses as accounting, taxation, auditing, human resource management, principles of management, and organizational behaviour. Prior to becoming a business instructor, Michael spent over 10 years working in various accounting and finance jobs including positions at Future Shop, McDonald's Restaurants, Fletcher Challenge and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. He was also a partner in the accounting firm of Bella, Konkin & Park. On a part time basis, Michael currently owns the accounting firm Konkin & Associates and is the CFO of Firebird Technologies.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, competing in triathlons and flying airplanes.
In 2009, Michael completed his first Ironman triathlon in Penticton, BC.
