Bio
After graduating with an Arts diploma from Selkirk in 2002, Takaia wasn't prepared to stop learning. Instead, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Histroy and English at Okanagan University College, and her Master of Arts in History at the University of Victoria. Today, you can find Takaia teaching History and Peace Studies at Selkiirk College.
As a History instructor, I aim to make an important contribution to my community by increasing local knowledge about our collective past. I want to leave the world a better place than I found it and I hope I can inspire my students to do the same.
