Call for Education Council Members: Faculty and Instructors

Two Faculty and Instructor Positions Available

Education Council (EdCo), a vital decision-making body of Selkirk College, needs your participation!

EdCo ensures representation of faculty and instructors, students, and staff in the educational policy and curricular decisions of Selkirk College. Faculty and instructors hold 10 EdCo positions, and two of those positions are currently vacant. Your voice is needed!

The appointment term for the vacant positions is from February 2026 to June 2027. EdCo typically meets once a month from September to June, and the time required to prepare for and attend meetings can range from about 2 to 4 hours per month.

Participating in college governance is not about adding more to what you are already doing—it’s about using your voice and expertise to help the college make smart, informed decisions grounded in our commitments and strategic goals to help build a thriving, student-centred college community.

For the composition of representatives, see Education Council Bylaws, Section C,1,a.
