Session 1: Core, Balance & Mobility
A grounding, low‑impact class focused on building core strength, improving balance, and increasing mobility. This session supports everyday movement, posture, and stability, and is suitable for a wide range of fitness levels. A great option if you’re looking to feel stretched, centred, and energized rather than sweaty.

Session 2: Full‑Body Strength & Conditioning
A dynamic, full‑body workout using circuit‑style movements to build strength and power. Expect functional exercises that engage multiple muscle groups, with options to increase intensity if you’d like a challenge. Modifications will be offered to support different fitness levels.

Improv Comedy: Intro Play Session

Facilitated by Michelle Hart, multi-disciplinary artist, specializing in theatre and improvisation

Get ready to stretch your creative muscles and share some laughs. This playful comedy improv workshop is all about play, spontaneity, and connecting through humour in a relaxed, supported space. No experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to jump in and have fun together.

DIY: Beeswax Wrap & Recycled Paper Making

Hosted by Kayla Tillapaugh, Sustainable Selkirk

Join Sustainable Selkirk for this hands‑on DIY workshop focused on reducing waste and re‑imagining everyday materials. Learn how to reduce single‑use plastic by making a reusable, biodegradable beeswax food wrap to take home and use for years to come. Transform discarded college documents and posters into fresh, handmade recycled paper. Add responsibly harvested flower petals for an artistic touch — perfect for greeting cards or scrapbooking!

Seasonal Cooking: Creston Asparagus

Facilitated by Red Seal chef instructor Thomas Render, the Selkirk College Culinary Team

Sharpen your skills and celebrate spring in this hands‑on kitchen workshop focused on fresh, seasonal Creston asparagus from Sutcliffe Farms — Western Canada’s largest producer. You’ll learn practical knife skills, preparation techniques, the fascinating background on this perennial flowering plant, and simple ways to bring out its best flavour and texture in this spring favourite. Ideal for home cooks of all who want more confidence in the kitchen and a few new ideas to take home.

A Taste of Nonviolent Communication

Facilitated by NVC practitioner, Holly Hume

Try a hands-on introduction to Nonviolent Communication (NVC) in this experiential workshop. You’ll learn the basics of NVC and explore how this approach can support clearer communication and deeper understanding at work and in everyday life. When was the last time you truly felt seen, heard, and understood?
