Our Selkirk, Selkirk College’s new employee intranet, will be launching in the coming weeks. It simplifies how information is organized, reduces duplication and the risk of conflicting information, and creates clearer ownership for keeping content current. The result will be a more consistent, reliable experience for us all.

Over the past few months, teams across the college have been deeply engaged in shaping Our Selkirk. We have audited content across platforms to better understand what information we have, where content can be clarified or consolidated, and what can be retired. We have identified and trained intranet champions from across departments, designed standardized page types, and gathered college‑wide input on navigation through a card sort exercise.

We are especially grateful to the intranet champions (and card sort volunteers) who have contributed their time, insight and energy to this work. Their willingness to test ideas, provide feedback and think critically about how employees actually use information has been integral to the project.
