Selkirk College will host a series of consultation sessions in Castlegar, Trail, and Nelson to explore how our programs, research, and partnerships might align with Canada’s emerging defence industrial strategy. The focus of our involvement would be on dual‑use technologies and training that also serve civil, community, and sovereignty needs.

The sessions will create space for a wide range of views, including those who are skeptical of any military involvement, and will invite discussion about possible engagement in areas such as advanced manufacturing, clean energy, climate resilience, cybersecurity, and critical infrastructure, and how these align with our mission and values.
