Emergency Preparedness Week: In It Together
This Emergency Preparedness Week, May 4 to 8, our focus is on connection. True resilience isn’t just about the supplies in your bag. It’s about the people standing beside you.
Join a Scavenger Hunt
To celebrate this year's theme, Health and Safety has launched a departmental scavenger hunt. Start the hunt today and continue through the end of next week. Through simple everyday activities, you’ll learn who is around you, where to get help and how campus community members can support one another before, during and after emergencies.
Participating departments will be entered into a draw for a Selkirk College gift card. The winner will be announced in the May 12 newsletter.
Instructions
- Get the scavenger hunt checklist.
- Complete one task within each category with your department.
- Once you’re done, email us your completed checklist, or any proof of connection and completed task, such as a picture.
- You don’t need to set aside extra time to participate. Use everyday moments, like campus walks, events or casual conversations, as opportunities to talk about preparedness.
- Most importantly, have fun! Get outside and connect with people in our community.
- Let the scavenger hunt begin!
