We are excited to announce the formation of the AI Steering Committee, a dedicated group of leaders focused on guiding Selkirk College’s efforts in artificial intelligence. This committee is composed of senior leaders and aligns with our existing committee structures and strategic plan, ensuring a cohesive approach to our AI strategy. 

The committee will play a crucial role in ethically shaping our AI initiatives and will be responsible for: 

• Setting the strategic direction for AI projects within the organization. 
• Overseeing the implementation of AI solutions and ensuring they align with Selkirk College’s goals. 
• Facilitating collaboration across departments and schools to integrate AI technologies effectively. 
• Monitoring and evaluating the impact of AI on our processes and outcomes. 

Additionally, the AI Steering Committee will work closely with various AI working groups. These working groups report into the steering committee and are created to complete specific tasks related to AI development and implementation. By leveraging the collective expertise and passion within Selkirk College, we can ensure that our efforts are coordinated and impactful.
