Selkirk Reads! 2025 Launches This Fall
Highlight Indigenous Voices
Loosely based on Canada Reads, in which five notable Canadians champion a book they feel every Canadian should read, Selkirk Reads! aims to highlight Indigenous authors, voices and stories to help lead us toward greater understanding, truth and reconciliation.
The third-annual Selkirk Reads! will begin in September. We will be looking for book champions to select a book from the long list, pitch it to the Selkirk College community and host a reading circle.
Think you might want to become a champion? Check out the long list and get started on reading over the summer. Have a title you’d like to see included? Email us to share your suggestions.
Selkirk Reads! 2025 will officially kick off in September, leading up to the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30. Keep an eye out for more information!
