About Governance

Board of Governors

At the highest level, Selkirk College is governed by a Board of Governors. Under the policy governance model, the board focuses on the long-term vision and purpose of the college and depends on the president to deal with all operational matters.

Policies

Selkirk College requires all members of the college community to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes a learning and working environment characterized by encouragement, free enquiry, integrity, mutual respect, professionalism, recognition of achievement and social responsibility. The college community respects diversity, is civil and provides for individual safety. Selkirk College creates policies to govern important issues and outline practices and expected behaviours.

President's Office

As CEO, the president reports directly to the Board of Governors and provides the institutional leadership for implementing the board’s vision, mission and strategic direction for Selkirk College. As well, the president is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the college and oversees all academic and administrative functions.

Strategic Plan

The strategic plan defines Selkirk College's vision, values and commitments. It outlines the college's goals and creates a shared road map for achieving them. Land, Learning & Legacy: Our Path to 2024 will guide Selkirk College through an evolving landscape of post-secondary learning, workforce demands and advances in technology.
